Personal Post: A Cruiser

Hello Lovelies! I’m so excited to finally share with you all that I finally got my very own cruiser bike! If you read my Vancouver post, you know how much I absolutely adored cruising around the city. I’ve had a road bike since college, which has served me quite well over the years, and managed to get me through the crazy Minnesota weather and two triathlons and has moved with me from Wisconsin to Texas, then back to Wisconsin and finally to Colorado. I was still using the road bike for our Bike and Brunch (you can read about that here). However, since we have been biking so much more this year, Kervin agreed it was time for an upgrade! After researching and perusing both new and used bike stores in Denver, I decided on a sixthreezero 3 speed classic cruiser bike. I have been thoroughly enjoying being able to sit back and “relax” while we ride through the Denver neighborhoods. I really feel as though we are able to appreciate Denver in a whole new light since we started exploring on our bikes, whether it’s riding the few blocks to our gym, or going across town to a new brunch or coffee spot. I’m excited to continue logging more miles each week together!

If you’re a Denver local and are interested in advocating for better, safer bicycling and walking paths in Colorado, you can send a message to the mayor. Bicycle Colorado has been working hard to keep bikers safe and you can help!

What’s your favorite way to explore your city? Do you bike, walk. drive, or some other mode of transportation? I would love to hear in the comments!
